OUR HISTORY

Government Contract Services, Inc. was founded in 1985 by Robert Purgert. Robert was a former NASA Procurement Officer and a member of the committee that was responsible for writing a portion of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations. After spending a great deal of time working with Government procurement and regulations, Robert had an idea to extend his knowledge to vendors that wanted to sell to the Government.

Working alongside his brother Brian, Robert began consulting and providing project management services to contractors in the area. In 1990, Brian took over the company with an endeavor to expand the horizons of the organization to reach people on a national level. The company was incorporated as Government Contract Services, Inc. During this time, the Federal Supply Schedules became a larger known contracting vehicle. Government Contract Services was the first organization to assist business in selling to the government through the GSA Schedules.

Government Contract Services has always been at the forefront of the Government Contract consulting sector and as the GSA and Government procurement have been modernizing, we need to as well. As a part of the growth, Government Contract Services will become a part of the Capitol 50 Consultants Company in 2020.

Brian Purgert, and Cristi Suhadolnik, our management team, are focused on the different contracting vehicles that the Federal Government is turning to for purchasing and will continue to keep the industry involved and our team at the forefront of that change. With their combined decades of experience our team will continue to offer a turnkey solution to clients, making us the innovator of our industry.

We offer consulting on any aspect of government procurement. Our employees understand the different ways to sell to the government and can provide consulting to any company that wants to do business with federal, state or local government agencies.
