THE GSA SCHEDULE
What is a GSA Schedule?
GSA Schedules are contracts that businesses make with the government in order to sell their products or services to government agencies. The main goal with a GSA Schedule is to completely streamline the buying process by having all the information up front so all buyers have to do is make a decision.
The application process to get on a GSA Schedule can be complex because the government makes a strong effort to effectively vet all prospective sellers before they’re given a contract. When buyers are looking at companies to purchase from, they can be sure they’re buying from a verified source.
GSA Schedules include negotiated rates and prices so buyers can easily order knowing prices are reasonable. Obtaining a GSA Schedule opens your business up to a world of government buying opportunities. If you want to expand your business to the public sector and gain an advantage over your competitors, a GSA Schedule could be the right decision for you.
GSA Schedules can be broken into two categories: product industries and service industries. They can also contain both as well. Depending on what your business is providing commercially, you can decide what schedule fits you best.
